CURA is a home for curated gaming picks. The useful, the interesting, the worthwhile.
With so much out there — from hidden gems buried in the backlog to tech that’s hard to decode — I sometimes find gaming more complicated (and overwhelming) than it needs to be. CURA was born from a simple idea: share what’s actually worth checking out. Everything here is handpicked because I believe it’s useful, interesting, or worth your time. Nothing more, nothing less.

I’ve been playing games for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the 90s, my first taste of gaming came from a few DOS titles my dad introduced me to. But the real “hooked for life” moment was kid me sitting next to my uncle, watching him play the original Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation. The story, the characters, it was like nothing I’d seen before. That game would go on to become my all-time favorite, and the PlayStation my first gaming console (after plenty of begging).

Like a lot of people, I drifted away from gaming as work and adult life took over. But in early 2020, the nostalgia came flooding back. The release of Final Fantasy VII Remake was just around the corner and the world was heading into lockdown. So like any reasonable adult, I went and bought a PlayStation 4 Pro.

Since then, I’ve fallen headfirst down the rabbit hole, diving into new releases, catching up on old gems I missed, and nerding out over gaming tech I could only dream about as a kid.
